Menu Edits Button: Using Custom Values in Menu Items & Buttons for Scalability

Custom Reports & Links Per Location

By Tom Bristol
October 6, 2022

The following features accept custom values in the link (destination):

  • Dashboard Shortcut Buttons

  • Header Buttons

  • Contact Buttons

  • Custom Menu Items

  • Quick Action Items

The name field (see screenshot below) cannot be powered by a custom value.

If a custom value does not exist for that particular location, the item or button will not be visible.

How this is Useful

In this way, you can use one set of menu items, buttons, etc and when that feature or report is enabled for that client, you can then add it as a custom value for that location.
