The Route Planner is an app that introduces custom Workflow Actions in your Workflow steps allowing you or your clients to optimize routes from a set of addresses.

A common use case would be optimizing routes for delivery guys to reach customers' places in the most efficient way in the area.

As of writing, there's only ONE (1) action available for you to use:

  • Optimize Routes From Opportunities - choose your Pipeline and filters, and use the resulting contacts/opportunities to produce the optimized routes with Google Maps link.

Use case example: Preparing routes for your delivery guy.

  1. Create a new workflow if required.

  2. Add Trigger Link Clicked as your Trigger in the workflow. Choose or create a new Trigger Link if you haven't yet (Marketing -> Trigger Links).

You can set the Start Address if you want the route to always start at a fixed point, if not set, the routes will start at the first contact/opportunity.

Toggle the Return to Start Point if you want the routes to end at the start point (e.g: your HQ).

  1. Finally, you can add the email/sms native Action to send those optimized addresses to the agent. To get the output, use Merge Tags in Editor's Custom Value dropdown. Custom Value -> Routeplanner

Use case summary

Of course you can tweak this according to your use cases, if you follow the above, once anyone clicked that Trigger Link, the workflow will starts to run and sending the email or sms containing those formatted address and its Google Maps URL.
